De Felitta is a noted jazz pianist and composer who has made several CDs, including one of his original compositions, “Movies Til Dawn”, and a solo piano tribute to jazz piano great Earl “Fatha” Hines, titled “Fatha’Land.”

De Felitta has recently published his first book. “City Island and Two Family House: Two Screenplays (and too much information on the making of two independent films)” contains the complete scripts of both movies as well as extended essays on the financing, making and selling of each film.

Raymond De Felitta’s long-running blog, “Movies Til Dawn”, is devoted to analyzing old movies, unearthing Hollywood history, celebrating jazz artists and studying all things New York City related. The archives also contain complete behind-the-scenes video histories of the shooting and post-production of “City Island” and “Rob The Mob”.
Check out his recent posts HERE.

As a Director’s Guild member, Raymond De Felitta participated as an interviewer in three Directors Guild visual histories (Stanley Donen, James Ivory and Peter Bogdanovich) & conducted a 2 hour interview with writer-director Barry Levinson. (WATCH HERE)

A Monetary ‘Magician’ of Dirty Tricks in ABC Drama ‘Madoff’

Dreyfuss, who plays this rapacious investment guru in ABC’s miniseries “Madoff” (airing Wednesday and Thursday at 8 p.m. EST), isn’t about to plead Bernie’s case. “But actors don’t only play people they approve […]

We asked five solo directors to describe their experience doing it all. A smoke machine wasn’t enough for Raymond De Felitta. While directing a […]

INTERVIEW: ‘City Island’ Director’s Tribute To Working Class Families is a Sleeper Hit
By CARL KOZLOWSKI [From Breitbart.com] Amid a spring movie season awash in mega-budgeted, big-studio releases, only one film has consistently shot up the box office charts week after week – rising more than 200 percent last weekend alone. Dreaming of Staten Island
By Richard Natale [From the Los Angeles Times] It’s as if you can hear Frank Sinatra crooning “My Way” in the background as “Two Family House” writer-director Raymond De Felitta discusses his circuitous route toward becoming a working filmmaker–a route that ended up being very personal. “There’s no real way to break into Hollywood,” De […]

‘Rob the Mob’ almost undone by story’s mafia connections
By John Horn [From the Los Angeles Times] Even in the annals of dumb crooks, Tommy and Rosemarie Uva weren’t the sharpest tools in the shed. In the early 1990s, the young Queens couple decided to stick up Mafia social clubs. In the abstract, the choice of location made sense. The clubs were filled with […]
